Nina has lived in Beautiful Vancouver for most of her life, however, after finishing University, this little Bee just didn't know where to buzz. She decided to follow her passion for food and move to Paris, France, where she enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School.
After the program, she worked at the famous Laduree Pastry Shop on the Champs Elysees - working the night shift for months, and through every station in the kitchen. At some point, she decided to work ONLY with chocolate, so she joined two Artisan 'Chocolateries' to get experience in the hand-made art. (Notice that the french word for 'chocolate shop' sounds a lot like 'Chocolate Tree'...just in case you were wondering where our name originated!)
Nina returned to Vancouver with her husband Henrique (a Brazilian who she fell in love with in the kitchens of Paris). She currently runs 'My Chocolate Tree' as a seasonal business, while working as a Realtor the remainder of the year. The 'Chocolate Realtor', in fact. We hope to meet you personally!
